I wonder what else Apple will hold back on new OS 4 and the new Iphone and then make out later on its a new feature that only they have.

LOL, I just hate the way Apple restrict everything.
Why should I need to jailbreak it to make it do the things that Nokia were doing over 5 years ago on their basic phones
I know it has some very good features but the lack of the basics really fucks me off..lol

It took about 20 mins to download and about 10ish to install for me!
It's well cool, i've gone from 5 pages of apps to 1 thanks to the folders! Still fucking about with it to be honest!!
There's a well cool thing in photos, you can sort by album or places, so you can see where on a map the pic was taken! Love it!!

Hold an app, till they shake as if you were going to move/delete them, then just drag on on top of another and it makes a folder for you.

this bloody update is doing my f*%king head in!!!
its just been downloading for 3 hours, 52mins to go and it bloody times out again!! now its says it wiill be 6 hours!!!
to say im gettin pissed off is an understatment!!!
is this happening to any1 else ????

I've heard of a few cases of blurred photos after the upgrade, but mine's ok.
The only weird thing it's doing is in email, after I've read it and go back to check again, the emaills are still there but it says 'no content' or summat similar! Then the next time I go back they're gone......
Otherwise i'm still well chuffed!!

PwnageTool 4.0 doesn't support 3GS with newer bootrom, ie the one which uses a tethered jailbreak, which includes all Orange supplied 3GS's.
I'll have to wait a little longer...

tethered jailbreak is the one where if you reset the phone or turn it off, you need a PC to reboot it. PwnageTool 4.0 isn't a tethered jailbreak, but it only works on 3GS's which could be jailbroken using the untethered jailbreak on 3.1.2.

Touch and hold an app til it 'shakes', then move it over another one you want to create a folder with and hey presto, folder created! It'll come up with a name depending on the apps in the folder, or you can make your own up.

What apple do is make extremly well made phones with great software.
The nokia n range symbian software was heading down a dead end track of being very cumbersome and very slow, particularly when the phone was loaded with more than 1mb of media.
Time to move on and accept it I think!
