Rooney couldn't hold anything up. He never looked like getting a goal. I think its a joke that he got moved to the wing, should have been subbed. He even pulled out of a couple of 50/50 challenges in the last 10 minutes, played like he wasn't interested and had a poor attitude.

Defoe did more in 15 minutes than Rooney in 2 games. Should take his place in the starting line up. Team should be picked on form, not big names and reputations.

I said he was over-rated and got serious stick on here. I wouldn't put him in the top 15 in the world, most.English think he's top 3, jokers.

Heskey looked shit because we had no consistent attack, if he can't play off the momentum he's crap because he can't generate his own anymore. Gerrard & Lampard need playmakers, Barry did a shit job of it last night, Joe Cole would of been much better option to tear them up in the middle of pitch... that's all they did sat zonally and picked off our worries, made their counters look half good. If you were asking a centre half to play up front or out on the wing then maybe, Gerrard ( a supposedly world class midfielder) should be able to play anywhere in midfield, he may not play a similar game as say wright phillips but not all wide side midfielders do the beat a load of players and get a cross in gig. Same excuses every time. It was the same with Beckham on the wing and then in the middle of the park then your own media and fans destroyed the mans career. Id rather play for North Korea or Colombia and make a mistake than play for England, you would have a better chance of staying alive...

Problem isnt the team its the fans and the media... your players are afraid to take a chance on the park for fear of it going wrong.

They are all good players compared to you or i but they are only at their best in certain roles within a team system. Rooney has been world Class all year for Manu but aint scored in 6 for England. Mind you playing up front with a lump of Lard when hes used to Nani, Scholes & Giggs putting then on a plate must drain your confidence .
