Default Speeding fine help - Rossco.?

Hi All,

A young work colleague has had her licence less than two years, and has been clocked at 41 in a 30mph.
Needless to say she is now bricking it over the possible consequences.

Can any of you guys advise.?
I reckoned on 6 points and hefty fine..........

Cheers, Brian

i hope she doesnt get 6 points or its bye bye licence and a retest to get it back, hopefully they'll be half decent and just give her 3 and a fine.

its impossible to say what she will get. she could get a magistrate who sees it for what it is and gives her less than 6 points or it could be a magistrate on some road safety initiative who gives her the full 6 to clamp down on "young reckless drivers".

How did she get caught?

41 in a 30 will be 3pts and a £60 fine I'd think.

41 in a 30 would be a fixed penalty of 3 points and £60 fine im sure. it used to be 21mph over the limit would get you a court appearance and higher penalty but that was many years ago and its probably all changed.
