Default Anchoring chains to a concrete floor. How ?????????????

Soon i am going to be laying a new concrete base for a garage and i would like to put some sort of eyelets into it for attatching chains/padlocks too. I would like something that lays flat into the floor when not in use so i dont trip over it but can be lifted up when i want to use it. The problem is i cant find anything suitable and cant even think what such a thing wuld be called
Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers Gaz

When me mate did his garage floor, he had the same issue, so he used what I suggested, a old car suspension spring with a strong proper chain, chain "eye" was slid 1/2 way down spring, then buried about 2 feet(?) down, chain just lays flat on floor and doesn't get in the way, total cost zero as he had these bits anyway.

we put some in a mates garage for pulling cars straight. use 5" tube with the chain welded in at the bottom. you can put the chain in the tube when your not using it. set the top of the tube flush with the concrete.

the towing eye off a car, just get some threaded end to put in the ground and you can then screw it in when needed

can put a few around the floor, plenty at the scrapyard

but that can be un-screwed and would defeat the object!

I,ve got 2 2" square box section 'Y' pieces concreted into my garage floor securing my bikes
Remember though the anchor is only as good as the chain fastened to it!
My mate had a shithot anchor in the floor but the shite chain took the theifs about 3secs to get through!
