Default Question for the hgv drivers

Got a question regarding hours, have been driving for 11yrs, only 7.5t but never had this problem before, as never done so much solid driving. I've gone over my 4.5hrs by 20mins, partly because was on motorway, and couldn't stop and was only short distance between coming off motorway to my destination. What I want to know is, whats the likely outcome? I know its an infringement, but how bad is it? And whats likely to be done? Am I worrying about nothing, or am I in the turd? I'm on digi card, so cant really 'lose' my tacho.

Your boss will have the usual infringement sheet for you to sign and date and will probs have to give you a personal letter regarding it also but that is all it is unless you start doing it all the time lol

I did it 2 months ago matey, i had 10 minutes drive till arrive at a depot and the tacho warning light came on, hmm 10 mins drive or pull into a layby that was still 5 minutes away ??

Keep fucking driving and take my break at the depot

Sign the back of the card or if digital the print out, saying why you were over your time, vosa look at it,as you should have stopped earier, before your 4.5 hrs driving, mate got find Ł120 last month for having 1km missing between cards,so be carefull

Just put on the back that you where over because there was no suitable stopping place. Or unsafe stopping place.
