Default Read Here If You Would Like To Win A Chip...

Hello Guys,
As many of you will know, every EPROM (Or chip to you guys) we sell goes out with a serial number and I whilst programming some today I noticed that we are nearing our 5000th EPROM sale and thought it would be nice to celebrate that with the members who have bought the most of them, and I guess that is you guys on PassionFord.

I suspect that the 5000th chip will be sold on Wednesday or Thursday this week, so to celebrate that fact I am going to do the following:
  • The 4999th EPROM customer will get his for half price.
  • The 5000th EPROM customer will get his for free.
  • The 5001st EPROM customer will get his for half price.
So thats three lucky Passionford users who could be saving anything from fifty pounds to many hundreds of ££s.

The customer wont be told he has won until after the sale has completed so its no use asking sales staff if you won, they wont know until I get round to programming your order and if you won, I will call you and tell you in person. If your lucky (And I am not) you will order an L8 ALS and LC file and save yourself a packet!

Good luck...

To be honest this wouldnt make me think oh i'll buy a chip from md on the whim i "might" be one of the lucky three, id rather know before hand, like guessing the serial number or a draw of somekind, as who knows how many chips you will sell before deciding its the 5000th, might just want to rake some sales in.

Some companies may be dishonest to gain more sales but I dont believe Stu or any of the MSD guys would do that. I know I am slightly biased but thats what I believe. I think it is an honest way of giving people a chance of winning.

Good luck to whoever wins

I dont mean it to come across as there dishonest i just think a draw or similar would be better.

i too think stu and the guys there are a sound bunch and wouldn't be dishonest as its more than his reputation is worth to him it'll be fair and square tbh as it might not be the 5000th to phone in the order but the 5000th chip he actually programs so it will be a draw as such and also the fact that people ordering a chip because they actually want one rather than getting one cos its free imo is fairer to the genuine customers that keep msd in business so to speak

Just to back things up for clarification here guys, there is a document file on both Stu and Kennys computers that gets updated with information against the serial number every single time a chip is done.

Whether it is a Focus RS, Fiesta Turbo, Cosworth YB; whether you walk up to the counter, order on ebay, ring up and order - it just gets the next serial number on the list...

Update: Seems sales arent as fast as I expected, largely due to me being off ill yesterday so not answering all calls, but its almost certain that the last 2 chips will go today... the astute amongst you will realise the implications of that!

Not me mine was around 20 away from the magic number. Would of been nice to get it cheaper or free but that wasn't the deciding factor. Having had a MSD chip in my escos I had already decided I would be using them for my next one. Guess i ordered to early
