Help Help Help..
I have a 92 escort cos, overtaking in 2nd gear , reved to about 4000rpm then spluttered, now on idle when try to rev a little just wont , just pops and splutters, changed plugs and dizzy , no change, any ideas? Thanks

As above, it's just popped a hose I'd say.

Anything else?? Not a mechanic so dont no where boost hose is? would it leak?

lume plugs? that mean nething as its a big turbo model , 92 escos

ok kool, just spoke to mark shead n he sed lume plugs, I dont even no what thy are either , b ut thanks for all your help.

Could be any of the hoses from the turbo>intercooler>throttle body, or indeed one of the smaller vacuum pipes.
If you don't know what you're looking for, then time to get someone to look at who does. I bet it is that and not worth looking at anything else.

Mine did that, it was the pipe on the map sensor

can I connect the pipe back up? is that a jubealee clip?where is it? cheers.

Likely that whatever hose has come off can be simply put back on and re-tightened. It is possible that its a split hose, but not as likely as it just coming off.

depends how it's failed mate, mine had cracked and needed a new sensor. My mate managed to glue his back together as a temp fix.
It's under a little bracket on the inlet side of the engine. Pipe goes from inlet to it.
