blackberries
Do companies brand there blackberries?
I.e. I'm looking at a 9700 originally on Orange, but needs unlocking to use my O2 sim. What functions if any would i be losing or are they all the standard menu systems etc?
anywhere to get the software to unlock? Also, I'm assuming it can't be debranded?

My storm 2 has Vodaphone on the bottom of it , also says Vodaphone on the home screen .
I`d imagine if you went to somewhere like carphone warehouse they might sell you phone that has no branding on the phone and depending on what sim will show what provider name shows up .

I'm pretty sure you can just upgrade the operating system and delete the vender file on blackberrysto unbrand them.
If that doesn't work fully there are cheap apps out there that will unlock you phone fully and not loose any functionality/menus etc
you will need a BB data plan to use the phone properly though really.
