I have recently sold some stuff to someone in Italy, he has been paying me in installments through paypal but due to the charges (which he is paying) I asked if he could pay any other way.

He is now sending me a giro ( I have no idea what that is exactly, I presume a cheque as such ) which will obviously arrive in euros. Is this a problem to cash in this country ?

It would be a damn sight easier if he would just do a bank transfer which I've just advised but this giro is in the post so I'll have to go with that for now if it can be used .

Any thoughts on how is best to sort it ?
