Mate just rebuild your engine top to bottom, you should be able to do it for £1500 easy including new pistons and new bearings, oil pump etc. Then you will effectively have a brand new engine, and peace of mnd.... Get a decent machine shop to match the rings and pistons to the bore, and rebuild the head etc, and just bolt it together.

as said; rebuild it and you can do it for £1500 if doing it yourself or find someone who can give you a hand
depends on what needs doing to your engine to get it back to tip top, but rough prices
bottom end refresh
New pistons with rings & pins £440
re-bore £80
Bearings £100 ish
oil pump £160
head bolts £not quite sure
grp.a head gasket £150
gasket set £80
other cost to consider is if the crank needs a grind, costs will vary quite alot, just get a decent machine shop to do it
tope end will heavily depends on if you need guides, seals, skim, tappets etc

he said full engine rebuild for £1300 including new pistons.
Thats £800 for shells, rebore, crank grind as it will prob need it at the least, Valve guides, lap the valves back in head skim and clean up/decoke thing, all the gaskets including head gasket, the guys time to put it back together.
and im probably missing loads. what about oil pump and water pump? Cam belt!
i would not trust youre engine mate sorry!

The fuel pressure regulator is normally attached to the end of the fuel rail above the distributor, FSE ones do not seem to work well on a turbo engine and the original Weber Marrelli one is very reliable so go back to that for a start.
Have a look through Billy Yums thread where he asked about peoples Cossy engine bays, you should see what most people have and what your missing.
A proper overhaul can cost well over £1500 but for the basics that should about cover it if you do the work yourself. Expect upto another grand on top of that if you pay anyone to do it
