If you want to go fast round the the ring get some tuition, there are sections of that circuit you can lose tons of time on by lifting or slowing down, there are also many sections where a nice lift off the throttle settles the car into the next bend rather than it being on the edge.
Practice makes perfect but the track conditions change daily thus do not take every trip over there assuming the circuit offers the same level of grip.
Spikys car would breeze a sub 9, no problems, just takes practice but its not worth pushing without the knowledge of the place as when it goes wrong the Police will come down on you properly and thats even when something happens you could not of avoided.

its all about track knowledge. I got Maria around under 10 minutes in the Clio.

Cologne is nearer but more expensive for us from manchester. Depends where your flying from but Frankfurt Hahn,Dusseldorf Weeze are just over an hour away,or Cologne is about 30mins away
