ive got 1, 4ft x 1ft x 1ft, huge external filter, full of guppys, mollys, zebra danios, peppered corys a plec n a few shrimps, sand substrate. will pop some pics on tomorrow.

this is probs a decent size starter tank. big but not to big.

had a few bigger ones,

5ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft,
6ft x 2ft x 2ft

would love to have a 9ft x 3ft x 4ft marine set up, but thats just silly money lol

I have a 60" x 24" x 24" tank, with an Eheim Pro 3 filter, 2x 300W external heaters and an Arcadia 4ft light. Here's how it looks

freshly set up next to 2ft x 1ft x 1ft tank

with fish and decorations in

and a vid clip from ages ago, now got completely different fish in

Basically all you need is a tank, heater, filter, light, water testing kit and above all patience... don't rush anything, read as much as you can and ensure your tank is properly cycled before putting the fish in. Suprisingly enough... the larger the tank the easier it is to manage.

Buy one from here if you're going to get one, great prices

Juwel tanks are quite good to start off with as the filter is internal etc so once you buy the tank all you need it the gravel and ornaments

I have the juwel trigon 190

If your getting a big tank, definately go external filter from the start. A LOT easier to maintain.

Have a look over on www.fishforums.net, will tell you everything you need to know

yes, definitely go for an external filter and make sure its bigger than wot u need. its better to have a bigger filter running or "ticking over" rather than one running at max.

was just about to put that link up, beet me to it mate. i check that site every few days, u can always learn new things.
