efi cut out help please

Default efi cut out help please

hey peeps was out and about last night and as i pulled out and started driving along my engine cut out, it felt like some one had just turned the ignition off. had a look at obvious things but everything seems to be fine. does any one have any ideas?

crank sensor? cross the fuel cut wires as they are nothing but bother tbh

i had this in my cabrio before,,,, turned out the petrol gauge wasnt working proper belive it or not

oh, is the pump priming,,, if you hear that then its gonna be ignition,, take 1 plug lead out at a time and rest on slam panel and get someone to turn over and see if you can see a spark,,, DO NOT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TOUCH THE SLAM PANEL OR ANYTHING METAL WHEN DOING THIS !!!

if you got spark on the plugs that means the CPS is working,,,,, then wiggle other sensors about but thats where i would start tbh

1: fuel pump priming means your fuel is getting to the rail
2: spark from plugs means there is ignition so it could be weak ignition but that would start when convinced enough

yh pump primes and ive got a spark checked the sensors and fuses ive checked all of the obvious things unless im missing something out.

check the small black unit on top of the fuel pump assembly, they burn out quite often. They can be bypassed quite easily. Edit not that then.

Check the earth on the right hand side of the engine bay, IIRC it earths the injector loom.

positive. its just weird the way its gone i would understand if there was like a big bang or something but there wasent. if i cant sort it by tuesday going to phone some one because i want to go classic ford lol

do you hear the fuel pump priming when turning over the ignition
also when cranking can you hear the fuel pump buzzing after a split second

all done now guys. stupid little swith had uncliped so the injecters wernt working cheers for the help though guys
