Default how long do you have to charge a new phone up for ???

ive had my new phone, a htc desire, but im wondering how long to charge it to get the best out of the battery. the book seems to say 3 hour charge and its ready, but i remember 'back in the day' you had to leave it on charge for a day or your battery wouldn't last very long. has battery technology moved on now so they don't need the big charge???

i just want my phone last longer than one and a half days without charging it

any ideas?

Wifes tale about leaving it all night/all day, i mean when its fully charged its fully charged, leaving it longer wont make a difference

If i was you id just use it as it came, then when it gets low turn it off and fully charged it, dont remove the charger or turn it on until its fully charged, thats how id do it.

You really wanna just do some full cycles if you can, run it almost completely flat then charge it up. Ideally you should do that anyway!

i haven't even turned it on yet m8, i don't want to without sorting some decent battery life for it. ive seen some vids on youtube about it, and yes, im really itching to turn it on and play with it, but im resisting cos i want the best out of the battery.

if the manual tells you three hours, it should be three hours batteries have changed from 'back in the day'. If you leave it overnight charging, it will fuck the battery up in time
