hullo,
just wondering if anyone knows how to remove them easily

i have a 57 tranny and it was restricted the day i got it but eversince hasnt ever his the limit (was 62 but it'll crack 90 now easilly)

i figure duff connection but who knows

im looking for a connect with a view to going it alone but lots have 70 restricted signs on but i wont want that and i doubt it'll come with manufacturers paperwork or info on it


would prob have it mapped too get the best of it, anyone had any experience with that?

ford can enable or disable them for you. also if you plan on having it remapped, normally they can set the speed limiter to what ever you want or remove it all together.

 

hmm maybe its a ford thing then
its weird that it worked before but in between my company driving test and me gettign it to myself it may have been serviced and some how removed

 

yeah it's part of the pcm calibration. only takes ten mins to reprogram at ford dealer.

 

As said above you can take it off with the ford tester.
