Coilpack, but cheap enough to change, main watch is head gasket, seen loads of these mayonnaised up to fuck.they don't stand up to bumps very well and as their all bolt on so be careful for previous bumps repaired by muppets.tbh mate their not a bad little car, especially as they don't rust too bad, probably as a lot of them are plastic panels.Usual checks really but there's a lot of them in scrappys from the scrappage scheme so spares aren't too much of a problem.

Our clio has had several faults among years:
-Check front suspension, joints, tierod ends, wishbones etc.
-Start motor is weak
-Wheel bearings
-clio HAS to go straight in the motorway if everything is ok. No tramlining.
Then you have to check all basic things, same as other cars. Remember check when cambelt kit+waterpump has been replaced (mileage / year)
Nice little car, pretty reliable. We have 2003 1.6 dynamique model
