Is it just me that's thinking something isn't quite right about that. If he's a trader why has he filled it out in his name and then punting the cra on. I would be thinking something was iffy there. Or it might just be that I don't trust anybody

yuo get the form from the post office, fill it out and send either a cheque or a postal order with it and the docs will return in your name in about two weeks time.
If the car is HPI clear and the docs are original as lonng as thguy is who he says he is,maybe he didn't send them away as not to add another owner on log book.

Im a car dealer. I use tipex all the time mate you'll be fine. Dunno why he didnt put his details in the yellow trade part of the V5 though which would've put it into his business name but not added an owner on??

as above have used tipex loads of times, has it been stamped for tax disc? not that it matters but that is usually why i fill them out, tax them, then sell the car with tax and tipex out my name and fill in the name of the new owner, saves having to put a another owner on the logbook

i have also had loads tipp exd
it can be for a few reasons, car could have came back from someone.
Also he may have needed to tax it and then tip ex out the green slip.
depends how much of a trader he is.
i personally wouldn't have no issue and the DVLA dont mind either IME.
