Non existant customer service these days?

I run a website which I'd like to think I offer the best service I possibly can. I even have work emails go to my phone when I leave work and answer questions at home in my own time inc. weekends when I can(!) so it really annoys me when other companies can't be botherd with you.
I placed an order with Burton Power on the 26th April for a load of gaskets, cam lube, oil etc, everything to build my engine back up which as of today, still haven't arrived. First week I just put it down to slow delivery times and last week I've been in London for work and out of the office alot so have been busy and haven't really thought about it, but emailed them twice last week to ask where my order was. I got NO reply from them BOTH times.
Still hasn't arrived this morning and as I'm in the office I rang them, put on hold etc, "oh we were missing some gaskets from your order which came in yesterday so we'll ship it asap"
Bloke on the phone was ncie and everything but I really expected better service form such a big company really. Not only, not to ring or email to tell me my order was going to take over 2 weeks to even ship, but not to even replay to MY emails I sent THEM and let me know I think is pretty piss poor TBH.

I know what you are saying but unfortunately they do suffer from that "dont give a s**t attitude at times. They are always "out of stock" whenever you need something quickly as well.
Plus they are not that big a company anyway - they have a big name but as far as I know still a family run business in what is nothing more than a medium sized retail outlet on the A12 between a row of residential houses

iv been waiting for my coilovers from woodford garage for nearly 4 weeks now and everytime i call them they say should be this week but was quick enough to take the money for parts they don't have in stock.
