as above, you need something of a substantial size to keep the air pressure flowing. a 150+ litre tank, a minimum of 2hp motor, 3hp really and a cfm of 8+ 10-12 ideally mate

hello chicken. A little compressor like that wont do mate. You will really struggle with a sander, you will have to keep stopping to let it build up pressure. If you go for a 2.2kw compressor it will pull more than 13amps at top pressure, so it will keep popping fuses. Going out for some beers Friday night if you fancy it mate.

i have to cart it around at the mo cos it's not static so joining tanks would be a nightmare
but yea prob's best if i just went and got something bigger, cheer's for the info though.

If you buy another compressor dont buy a cheap one. Abac is not to bad, but if you can afford it get a hydrovane. There not cheap but are good quality.

at the mo it is a cheap one but if i remember rightly the flow rate is quite high i'm sure it's well over 8cmf maybe 10cmf, but yea my air tools do take alot of air out the tank and it does annoy me having to keep waiting all the time when i get to a hard to shift nut or something, it'd be more of a hobby compressor than anything though as it does get used but not exactly on a big level, i don't think i'd got for a hydrovane one as i just wouldn't use it to it's full potential but i will look into a second hand jobbie of the abac, i would like to have enough grunt to sand or shot blast as we all no fords like to rust.
but thanks again lads for the info i'm sure it'll help others that read this aswell as myself
