tvr was sold on,,,,,,,, fucking thing was a nightmare to get started as it would flood when closing the garage door,,,,, or flood pulling out the side road meaning plugs had to be taken out,,,,, which is a beast of a job !!!

my mate never used it at all due to this,,,,,, i never used it as the turning circle was shite,,,, oh and my mate started to get paranoid about it when he discovered what it was worth so when i wanted to use it something came up blah blah blah

car looked the nuts when you was standing beside it,use to feel like a footballer ect,,,,, shame it was waiting for the poxy AA to recover you as it was flooded again

still love them,,,,, id NEVER bother buying one as a toy though due to the hassle it caused

a mate of mine got a good deal on a tuscan,,,,, gotta be 2 years ago now and paied under 10k for a 04 plate tuscan due to history of it ( long story) oh and this was also to repay a debt,,,, seriously this was,,,,, but pmsl at the way it sounds

anyway it was nicked as it was left parked on a bit of land for,,,, well almost a year till the keys came through for it due to the long story

then it was discovered about 1/2 mile a way on someones drive under a car cover,,,,basically someone nicked the car,,, then waited a few months and then applied for the logbook, was just by luck my mate seen the car being put on a low loader

anyway it had the wheels nicked and a few other things needed doing and so i paied and sorted out all the stuff for it as he was quoted 7k for the repairs due to it being a TVR,,,, and garages just being rip off cunts on cars they dont know about

deal was we share the car, reality was different when the car was done and driving about infact i spent all the time driving it to the tvr centre in barnet to get it retuned or other things looking at as i know them and they sorted me out for a drink all the time

anyway i stopped doing it and it was left in the garage for a few months due to it flooding and then sold on to someone for a profit of which i got my money back,,,, so waste of time for me in reality as i actually used it 2 times and one of them it broke down outside starbucks when i popped in for a coffee,,,,, i left it there till 9pm then called the AA to tow it home,,,,, too much attention and people LOVE to see a broken down car and comment,,, which would fucks you off !

I'd love a TVR but all you hear is bad things. Still new one due out soon so that would be magic!

i mate of mine has one - again a long story behind his - and it's been sitting in his workshop for the last five years, stunning car to look at from every angle. Theres another bloke locally who has one, again, stunning car and everyone looks as you drive through town. BUT hear so many stories, i remember one of jim green's posts a while back listing all the massive design flaws on the tuscan that he wanted to correct before driving it.

Would it not be possible to ditch the tvr lump and fit something else? m3 engine or something? I've no real idea, just thinking out loud?

if it was my car totally i would have,,,, but i was more a rental owner of it

the car has some silly specs though for a road car, dry sump, crappy turning circle BUT when going it seemed to get twitchy and better,,,,, but not at slow/crawling speeds

i still love them,,,, just would never own one as a toy unless i had a fleet of toys
