just put my first coat on the walls how long do i leave for second coat

iv gave it a heavy first coat looks ok so may get away with a second coat

am a painter leave it 4 hours for the first coat, then recover paint forms a skin a seal as you would say if you want a rush job 2 hours will be ok but a pro would wait 4 hours hope this helps

Also depends on the type of paint - emulsion or gloss (not sure what the technical name for gloss is). Emulsion you can usually do within 2-3 hours, gloss is usually best left at least 16 hours.

not many people put gloss on walls so it will be matt or vinyl silk so 6 hours and your fine
