Default Anyone got an Archos?
Looking at an Archos5 media player, anyone got one?

Do they play AVI/Xvid's that can be "downloaded"?

Any good software for them?

Would an iPhone/iPod touch not do everything the archos would do? You can put avi and divx on your iphone/ipod.

A friend had one, biggest 'novelty value' purchase ever. Spent a fair few quid on it and sold it for pennies.

i've got a couple, a 605 and 504 but only use them to play stuff that i've recorded on them, or converted dvd in avi format. i think they'll play almost anything though, must be plenty of info on the net
