Plenty of auction sites out there, copart & HBC being quite popular ones.
Its not easy tho buying salvage with the intenion of repairing and selling them on.
Repairs can often cost alot more then you first think even doing them yourself, alot of people have a big problem with buying cat C & D cars and can be difficult to shift sometimes and even when you can sell them there often isnt a great deal of profit in them, plus waiting for logbooks VIC checks etc can be a fucking pain can take weeks/months sometimes and all that time you will have the car sat there as hardly anybody is going to buy a car with no logbook. Its not the big money maker alot of people think it is.

dont sell much on ebay salvage wise, all my stock is sold locally at the mo, sell the odd repaired car on there and the odd piece of salvage (dont have any salvage on there at the mo, but have around 13 salvage cars in stock that are unsold, 8 that are sold)

I would say check that you can get the parts to repair if your working on a budget , some parts are rare and very hard to get hold of at times so prices will be high and know what your getting into and how much work there is beneath the crumples mess .
Good luck
