Default Anybody an energy assesor?

I get e-mails all the time about becoming an energy assesor in the air conditioning/ refrigeration sector.
Its £995 + v.a.t. to do the one day course as i have been in the industry almost 13 years now, and i would like to do something part time that pays the bills so i can do up the house, and maybe buy and sell a few cars.
The spiel says you can get up to £500 per visit, and are guaranteed work on a self employed basis.
Anybody have any experience on this?

Years of experience.

Can I interest you in a get rich quick scheme, based on a Pyramid?
No risk, guaranteed income.

I had an email today from the FBI telling me I'm at risk as I didn't pay my taxes. Don't want to disappoint them, but I've never been to the USA let alone worked there.

Seriously if it was that easy and there was loads of work then loads would be doing it. The Job Centre and govenrment schemes would be funding people through if it was as good as the advert claims.

Same with the gas fitting/plumbing adverts saying we need loads of new plumbers every month for years

Its just advertising crap to get you to go on their course.

Low carbon consultancy is chargeable at the figures you mention.

Sounds like you have the apples for that . Sure a colleague at my last place went on a course for 3No. days with the third being an exam.

Sure that course cost a grand also...

I used to work for a company who wrote most of the courses for been an energy assesor, it was true you could earn some serious cash a few years back carrying out inspections, problem is now every man and his dog have done the course so this has killed the market. save your money as it no longer worth doing.
