the casting process by cosworth is probably different pal and if they sounded like yours id bine them as they sound fooking terrible and sound like none of the cosworth racing ones i have heard sound like the ones of yours diesel

I have Accralites in my car and I think they are the dogs danglies . No problems what-so-ever and the engine's been abused for around 20k miles now and doesn't use hardly any oil (still) - ¾ level on dipstick to ½ on a track day !

From: in the garage fixing yet another oil leak
have heard on the authority of a very well known tuner on here that coz they are flat tops they dont perform well with the shape of a cossie combustion chamber which apprently requires the dish for squish.

but were talking for an RST here!
I have 1mm oversize accralite pistons in my RST engine so i know what they sound like!
it sounds like a bag of nails when you start it! ie like a diesel however once they have warmed up they are mint and dont make ANY noise at all.
As far as im concerened they are a very good piston and are a fair bit cheaper than 'cosworth' ones.
however they will create more bore wear than a mahle or similar as they have a central gudeon pin and are a 'propper' forged piston.. hence the rattling!
