Surley if the prson is needing to use a satnav for larger vehicles they may not know the route and by the time they realise a low bridge is near it's to late and can cause chaos for themselves and what's around them.
Thought it would be pretty much common sense specially on foreign roads you may not know.

we cover the whole uk, dont cross the seas so cant comment on that, we use the truckers atlas. there are plenty about this is the one i have in the wagon, shows all low bridges, and in the office theres a few that do bridges, width, weight.

all i can say tho is with the tomtom link i posted earlier i would never dream of tappin in an address and setting off with it. i always cross ref the route i get from tomtom against my truck map, and then on the road just same as ever, use your head, dont miss any signs. and the the obvious one, dont be too proud to ask! find this is the biggest downfall of people. if your goin somewhere for work then id say someone else has been there before you, ask about there will 90% be someone who can put you exactly on the job with the best way in/out! better to ask then then alternative.

Definitly agree with the cross referencing, google maps on the phone comes in quite handy with this as well. Can even get street viewer on it now so you can check the best way to come in to the place.
