Mitsubishi 3000GT Twin Turbo
Sorry I know its not a FORD,
but am thinking bout buying one!
anybody clued up on these?
it would be an early model on a H reg,
any pointers on things to look out for?
also are they any good?
as ive not driven one yet and just fancy something a bit cheap with
TWIN TURBOS!

there brilliant.
not as good through the bends as say an evo, skylne or rx7 but i would compare it to a supra to drive even though its a 4x4.
there really comfortable, very reliable and with a decent set of coilovers they can be set up properly and then will handle well.
with a few mods around a track they will and do kick the shit out of stage 3 saffs
just make sure you get a manual

not sure what these are like compared to a gto (looks like its an earlier version or something, the gto looks a bit newer )
if they are anything like a gto id say get one, or even a gto but i have no idea for prices of these
my uncle has one, and with its 3ltr straight 6 and twin turbos it really shifts in a straight line and round the corners it amazing, really stiff, no body roll and quite good brakes.
the looks arnt for everyone but you havent got to look at the outside when your in it. however getting in is a bit of an issue with it being so low and huge bucket sytle seats, the dash is about inline with my chest and im 5"8 and you look like a drug dealer and the car fills a narrow street when you park there
im not sure how simular these cars are but the engines and styling are quite simular so im guessing there pretty much the same

GTO - the weakest link appers to be the bottom end, I rebuilt 4 last year, all with shot big end bearings.
Electrics are good, but series 1 ECUs do break down.
Generally good car.
Max boost on standard engine 18psi.

There's one local to me don't know the guy who owns it though but see it on a daily basis. Forever jump starting it, smoke on boost, black/blue smoke, sounds like someone left a spanner in the valve train...I'm sure there are some good ones out there
