what is the point in it then? genuine question the only reason you'd go into that much cost to save weight is to compete but if it's not allowed i personally don't see the point unless it's just purely for cosmetic reasons or pub bragging, obviously it does save weight but if you can't compete then i see no real reason in wanting to loose all that weight and at such a cost.

thats why i mentioned it as i was just about to cut my escos about and fit one when i checked the rules and regs with the championships i was thinking of racing in and its not allowed...
If youve got a fast road and track day car its still a worth while saving on weight and id still do it straight away!!if youve got a road car with sunroof it saves 25kg iirc,my car is an ex works car with roof vents so not a massive saving even if i was to do it..
