We had a male huntsman about the same size but smaller abdoman in the door jam of our Audi. Our car was only ever used at weekends and lived in a warm garage and the girlfriend was driving it soon after we bought it, out of the corner of her eye she noticed something move across the passenger window but thought it was outside.
The next day I was putting the cat cage into the back of the car and this thing was sitting there on the door jam! Scared the crap out of me! Wouldn't even die with Mortein spray. Ended up pulling the rear seats out as it ran under there. Neighbours thought it was hilarious. Eventually killed it and it curled up into a tiny ball.
Edit - the girlfriend's mum has a farm and they leave them in the house when they get in as they eat the smaller spiders and keep the flies down. Trying to sleep is not good.

Its quite wierd really that something that can grow pretty big really only eats insects, but something as small as a red back can kill a human! ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
When I was out there many years ago, we stayed on a farm with family for 3 months and te only wild nasty thing I saw was a flattened snake on the road at the end of the drive. Considering we were about a kilometer from any neighbours all around us, there wasn't much to see. Not that I am complaining that is
lol
