advice for drag run
going to pod tommorow and gonna try for 1st time in cossie , nothing too aggresive in 4th mind but i wanna get a good start. the car is a saph 2wd stage 1 power whats the best way to get off the line revs wise, gentle smooth approach or 4 or 5 grand style and prey for traction?
Im not a keen lover of 1/4 mile but when in rome you gotta do as the romans

cheers guys , silly bolox ere drove 70 odd miles with no oil cap on ....... woops a daisy wot a melon !!!! seemed to of got away with it by pure chance , found the cap , filled her back up and off she went.... i wondered why i heard my tappets slightly!!
You can imagine the mess it made so that was the end of my blast up the strip.
All turned out good tho , my pal did a 12.4 in his capri which pleased him no end

Lmao, my capris my daily driver, doesnt sound anywhere as good as my mates tho. We took it for its maiden drive (well, for this year) and it turned heads everywhere, it made mine feel so slow and normal! x

I have a big soft spot for them , when i was about 8 yrs old the 2 brothers i knew up the road used to pinch their dads blue 2.8injection capri (brand new) at the ages of 16 and 13 the little sods pmsl....... i sat in it once in the alley and just remember that noise they have. timid to a v8 but still sound awsome imo.

i went down the strip in my FRS against my mate jenna, we both never have done a run before so we were well nervous, she made me worse though, did it 4 times i won 2 and so did she and we were doing 14sec ish, would have liked to have got into the 13s as we had seen 2 other FRS do that time but we were happy with our runs for first timers,
specs of car:
mines on dreamscience hers is on Ae Tuna
both on standard turbos,
both got k&n gen2,
both got manifolds,
both got decats and exhaust systems
mines on a forge actuator and dumpvalve and hers is on standards
