Exactly, they sacked that professor just for giving the view that some of the drugs on the banned illegal list are safer than some legal ones, because it wasn't the view they wanted even though he is the expert and that was his job!! As said, I reckon the government if it was doing things properly in todays world should order a period of research where they fully test all drugs and then the laws are changed and substance bans altered upon the findings, but they wont. Surely we know a lot more now than we did years ago and some of the laws are out of date.

Mephedrone is a lot more stronger drug obviously than weed but the recent example of those two young lads who died is another point. When they thought it was that which killed them it was splashed all over the news channels and papers like no tomorrow but once findings said otherwise it barely got a mention.

But whilst we live in a world where you see every day on TV adverts Morrisons advertsing the drug alcohol multipacks for cheap and a much less dangerous drug in cannabis is illegal this is the way things will be for a LONG TIME.
