Question injection query

right was thinking on my megane before i sell there is a problem with the injection system.
sparks are fine
ht leads are good.
for tthe megeane they have pencil coil packs on each spark went by pulling of each one and the first 2 moving from right ot left killed the engine once removed.

what im confused about is when i pulled out the 3rd one the engine dropped slightly in revs but never stalled does this mean this that coil is faulty??

if anyone can advise on anythign to try that woudl eb great

cheers
conor

You should only disconnect one at a time to test this by removing the low voltage connector.

If the revs drop or rougness occurs when you disconnect one coil, then this is normal.
If when you disconnect one coil, the engine see's no change then that cylinder isnt contributing to the power output.
This could be a coil, injection or valve problem otherwise.

You can do the same tests by disconnecting the injectors and work out if fuel or ignition is the problem.

However, disconnecting items can cause ecu fault codes to be registered that may or may not auto reset depending on the manufacturer.
