HI lads well i got of work early today and went round to see if there was any news well martin was up to his neck with working on a escort cosworth that was in for a quick setup which turnd out to a dud wiring loom in it . well the plan is that the car will be on the rollers in the morning and should be off them satday morning some time so if i get any news off martin tomorrow i will post wot i no . and thanks for the replys lads

Right theres some light at the end of the tunnel i rang martin today about 3pm and its on the rollers and martin was working on it as we spoke martin was having a look at why the car runs so rich on cold start and said all being well with in the awer /4pm he would get started on running the car up so lets just keep them crossed i will no more befor the day is out but martin has told me it will be running into tomorrow so watch this space

yes mate we have sorted the miss fire / HT leads . but the car has to small problems 1. when the car starts for the first time it runs very rich till it worm and number 2. the idle control valve has a mind of its own

Small update martin has give me a ring tonight to say the car is still on the rollers and that most of the small problems are all most behind us now . but there is one more problem with it at the mo as the car is running 1bar of boost at the mo and made 300BHP so martin put the boost up to 1.5bar and the car made 303BHP ?? so a bit more investigation is needed now . so we will see wot tomorrow bings .

So i'd imagine if it's going to peak @ 2bar + you'll see around 340-350 odd imo....

Ian told me he had a problem with the turbo and didn't make the power he was hoping for..

However he said it is now running spot on and he will be trying his mates turbo to check at a later date but said on idle his turbo would actually stop spinning..

thats going to last about 5 mins then that turbo!!!
Get a better one on there and see the right power..

I'd put a GT3071 on it if it were me, test that block out..

lad thanks for all the replys im up against it tonight so i will try and do a update tomorrow night and the end of the day we only got 320BHP after 2 days on the rollers

i will be at the pod in the morning and on the passionford stand so if you wont to come and have a chat try and get hold of me and i will tell you wot went on on the rollers the car did just over 40 runs on the rollers

the car is running so much better now

get your heads round this then the made 300BHP 1BAR so the boost went up to 1.4BAR and the car made 303BHP it just hit a brick wall the car had a leak test and was spot on the rocher cover came off and the cams were set up on a dial gauge it then made just 308BHP in this tim the car had new plugs new leads you name it itwas been done as we were messing we had the pipe of the turbo and the motor was started up and satday dave said why is the turbo not spining the car was running at about 900rpm and the turbo was at a stand still martin flicked it with his finnger and it spun then stopped it gose run and is making a lot of boost but it seams there is no volume of air with it so the turbo is coming of soon to see wot is going on with it and then the story will start again
