I was invited to a players evening for Birmingham City football club back in the mid 90's. Manager at the time was Trevor Francis who gave a speach. Pretty lame I know but I got so shit faced on free lager that when the players came round to autograph next to their pictures in our programmes I didn't know or care who they were so told them not to bother signing mine. That didn't go down too well with my boss who invited me & was the biggest Birmingham city fan I have ever met.
Slightly better but not much, working for the same bloke I was at a beer wine & spirits wholesaler's in Sparkbrook. Stood in reception waiting for my paperwork I did a double take at the bloke stood next to me. He looked at me & nodded so I did the decent thing & nodded back. It was bugging me all the Way back to Redditch until I got back & my boss asked me if I'd seen George Best there who was doing some promotional work.
Other than that I was at a Stereophonics gig at Wembely & Noel Gallagher was sat behind me.

Also very nearly ran over Roger Taylor , Queen drummer , at the rear of Harrods as i was too busy gawping at the gorgeous blonde he was with and i didn't see him step out in front of me till very late.

Have met Fatima Whitbread as she lived local to me.

From the musical world , i was waiting for a bus in Shoreditch once when i saw Jarvis Cocker walking towards me. I'm a real big Pulp fan and kept thinking ' Blimey , it's Jarvis Cocker , gotta say something but try and be kinda cool with too ' ...and as he walked past i said " .....Alright Jarv " and he replied " Alright mate " and the carried on. I was jibbering like a nervous schoolgirl for about 5 mins after !!!

Oh , and i know the curly headed kid from the dance group Diversity that won Britains got talent

I've had my picture taken with the Chuckle Brothers. I even queued to get the picture, and when he took my programme to sign it he said 'To me then' and I quickly said 'To you then' and he laughed. Then Paul, the other one said 'Silly me' to Barry and before I got chance to say 'Silly you!' Barry shouted it. Pipped at the post.

Saw the Top Gear crew in 2007 Kandaha airbase Afganistan I was in departures and they came in and said hi. They ended up having a drag race in our trucks in Bastion! Gutted I missed it!
Charlie boreman came out to do a show Dec 2009 and was on my R&R flight back to the UK, he's a top bloke.
Mike brewer's been out filming in 2010, filmed us unloading an Antinoff an putting the kit on the back off our truck. I'll have to wait and see if i've made it on to tv!

I've met quite a few famous names over the years, some will be unknown to folk on here for various reasons especially those who are not interested in football or have a knowledge of music in the 80's

Here's the list anyway for those interested:

The most famous was probably Princess Diana, she came to my middle school and shook my hand on the day she opened the "Princess Of Wales Hospital" in Bromsgrove.

While working at a festival last year I met the following people/groups, Rick Astley, Billy Ocean, Paul Young, Nik Kershaw, Midge Ure, Kim Wilde, Kid Creole, Howard Jones, Cutting Crew, Doctor & The Medics, Go West, China Crisis, Carol Decker and Belinda Carlisle.

I've seen David James a couple of times, never spoken to him but he owns a home not far from my parents house.

Brian Eastick (England youth coach) is my former next door neighbour, he's recently signed the property over to his step daughter though, he still gives me a new England shirt for xmas every year though!

My dad is pretty good friends with Kevin Poole, former Premiership goal keeper, albeit not a particularly famous one though He currently plays for Burton Albion.

I've also seen Craig Fagan in my local shop a few times as he's parents are fairly local to me.

I've also met the following while working for "Webbs Of Wychbold" Ron Atkinson, Robert Earnshaw, Dean Kiely, Aidy Boothroyd, Ashley Giles and Colin Jackson.

All I can think of at the minute..
