Default Just got quoted £1700 to insure a fiesta turbo????

Went to greenlight website and slected modified car, got re directed to a different site - e modified car insurance, went through all the questions, Graged, social only 5000miles per year, put me on it 32 years old, full no claims, no accidents or convictions, then the wife, 31 years old, all clean too, bigger brakes, exhaust, wheels, suspension and engine bhp increase by 10% ( wouldn't accept 30% and more! )

AND.... got quoted £1700 comp!!!

What you lot paying? i used to pay £700 fully comp on my escort cossie 6 years ago!

Try Paul at needtoinsure - I used to use Greenlight and recommend them to people but would even bother to try call them now or waste my time on their website.

Paul at need to insure would cover my old FRST for £99 limited mileage etc, don't know if this was a joint policy with my Cossie.

He's the best out there for sure

I just renewed mine via "A Plan".
on an ESRT
24yo, 3years NCD, 3points, All mods declared up to 180bhp, Aftermarket parts covered price on like incase of theft.
Comp : £639 . £200excess.

oh and also, they are the first insurance company to treat me as a car enthusiast, rather than a boy racer.

They told me different last year when I wanted to insure my Cossie - the woman on the other end (says it all I guess ) said that they were unable to insure a "non standard Cosworth on a classic policy" :s
