Our works van struggled to start the other day, imobiliser light going mad.
now it starts everytime but when driving the dash (imob) light flashes 2 times then pause for 1 sec then flashes 4 times then pause for 4 secs then 2 again etc etc
does this mean anything?
also same van the brakes are crap and if you brake over anything more than 5 seconds the brake peddle sinks to the floor?
its had new rear cylinders and shoes and master cylinder changed and still the same? Any ideas as our local garage is now stumped?

the immobliser light is normally either water getting into the dash from a leaky window seal at the top of the screen or try the barrel pick up for the transponder on the key.

is it a rwd 2.4? with a load sensing valve or non load sensing valve model, if it has a load sensing valve when bleeding the rear brakes hold the valve open as they tend to trap air and not let it all out if not held open
