Default Aerocatch fasteners for front bumper?

i want some aerocatch fasteners for my mk1 mondeo front bumper, for quicker access to the turbo/intercooler etc (plus i have a btcc splitter going on which will mean there is no access to the bumper bolts!)

i've had a look on the aerocatch site and they dont seem to list any specfically for bumpers?

do the lockable bonnet ones work the same on bumpers?

and if so, where would i position them, one on each side of the bumper (on the sides under the wings?)

nice one thanks.

the splitter is from the 1995 season (like on the valvoline works cars), its a fibreglass replica but is very good quality and tough. i think it came through TCS. i'd imagine the original genuine ones are all broken now and never come up for sale?

i dont know, it is blue in colour but i wouldnt have a clue how to tell what material it is (i assumed fibreglass)

i was thinking of getting a mould made off it to get another one made up.

Anyone know what the score is with msa regs with pins on the front bumper? With them sticking out (non aero) type I assure they could be seen as a danger if on the front of a bumper?

OldDan - id imagine so, this is different rules i know but the nurburgring wont allow bonnet pins now unless they are these sort of areo ones, so id guess they use a simular sort of ruling....

percybigun - get some pics up of the splitter when its fitted, and is there a resto thread anyway for this car?

i havent put a resto thread for this car here on PF but it does have a comprehensive car diary on fordmondeo.org forums here:

http://www.fordmondeo.org/forum/show...d/769955/tp/1/

you may need to be logged in to view it, registration is free.

generally i dont post many pics of my motors on here, due to the RS rednecks, anti-mondeo-ism, and anti-fwd people
