Default Ring insurance, yet again!

Who are people insuring with this year for the ring?

I have been really struggling to find anyone who when you ask the question specifically doesnt exclude it, are people just not bothering to ask and hoping for the best?

Really want to take my Van over there but dont want to do so without insurance for 3rd party at least, and would prefer a company that I dont have to proove in court is liable after the event (im actually very confident that ALL 3rd party insurance covers you there, as under the Road Traffic Act it actually is illegal to have an exclusion against the ring!)

I don't think they do 'Ring cover as a standalone item, but when I was with privilege it cost an extra £24 to bump my european cover up to fully comp, which included the 'Ring. And yes, I specifically asked, and then got her to go and check with her manager too
Had it all added to the policy, I was amazed tbh!

Edit,
That was 2008/2009 so still recent!

Interesting, will try priviledge then, thanks for the tip.

Do they do modified cars though, cause thats the other problem, the van I want to take isnt going to be anywhere near standard (engine / brakes / suspension all changed a lot)

A yellow one of course mate!

Ive got some astra coupe turbo brakes and 5 stud conversion for it, a v6 cavalier engine, and im going to fit some coilovers.

Not bothered about being the fastest thing, just want the comedy of doing under 10 mins a van, which will be very easy in this IMHO

Its LPG so costs pennies to run, although i'll need to change the lpg kit around when i do the V6 swap.

It was modified, strut braces, brakes etc but nothing on the engine side. Got to be worth a phonecall, they can only say no.

Not even gonna bother asking!

I will be driving Ferrari out and hiring cars as usual.

If I was as hardworking as you maybe I could afford to do the same, but im not

Cool van Chip.
Yellow rules
Not very cool yet though, still a 1.6 8v at the moment, and even when you use both its horsepower at once its very slow, lol

Should be a giggle
Yeah hopefully
