Default prove mileage for insurance???????

when i get my policy i have to obviously send a photocopy of my (proof of ncb)

but they asked me to write down also my mileage and sign it. for my annual year mileage that i said i would use.

how do they know i just dont write it low (sign it), so basically lie. then at end of year write it low again. so it looks like ive only done 1k for example??????????????

They will only check if you make a claim.
They can probably check online with the mot database anyway.

They could cross check it with your MOT at any time, particularly in the event of a claim.

Coz I made a mistake. Genuine mistake. Told them 2k. But it's more like 5k. It's was 2k when I had my escort rs. But now I have my st170 it will be more like 5k. I just write it and sign it when i recieve my policy. Hopefully they don't put quote up by that much

Worst case; they'd only wack a little extra on if you did ever have to claim.

no if u dont give a shit, yes if u do give a shit and are bothered in the off chance u crash it and they check the declared mileage, then find out u lied (thats how they will see it unfortunatly) and refuse to give u a payout on the car, in the worst case.

Long and short of it!!!

As said ur actual mileage on the MOT database is accessible, plus in the event of an accident im sure an assesor would check the mileage on the car if ur unlucky enough!!

They aint gonna rape u over declaring 2k more miles mate is it worth taking the risk?!

even if you say it's 1k, they normally put down it's 4k

so you won't be losing anything, other than sleep and the cost of the claim if you don't tellthem

ring em and tell em, worst case is it'll perhaps cost you £20 quid to cover it but you don't tell em and have to make a claim they won't pay out. insuarnce companies try everything they can to not pay out so why make it any easier for them?
