How are you paid ?, Some go on if you are paid weekly its a weeks notice, Fortnighly its a fortnights notice and so on for monthly etc
Given you dont have a contract i think 1 week will be enough

By turning up and working you are accepting the terms of their contract, whether you sign one or not
If you are paid monthly then its a month, weekly its a week etc unless stated otherwise in the contract.
I doubt they'll pursue it any further if you do leave with no notice or a shorter one than they'd like, unless you're the finace director or something lol
Be aware tho that employment history and references are looked at very closely when you go for jobs tho and if you cant get a ref from this employer it will go against you

Even though you have only been there a few weeks, they'd still need to give you a week's notice so really you should give them a weeks notice aswell. I'm sure your old company that your going back to would rather you do this, bit unfair for you just to walk out and not come back seeing as they have given you a job.

Notice you must give your employer
If you have worked for your employer for one month or more, the legal minimum amount of notice you must give is one week.
Normally your employment contract will set out a longer notice period. If it does, you should give this length of notice to your employer.
If your employment contract does not set out a notice period you should give a reasonable period of notice to your employer. This is included in your employment contract as what is known as an ‘implied term’. What is 'reasonable' will depend on your seniority and how long you have worked there.
For further guidance you could contact Acas (the Advisory Conciliation or Arbitration Service) or another advisory body
