whats the difference between ofab and ofac?
as subject.
whats the advantages and disadvantages.
im thinking of using the ofac ecu for the efi management on a 2.1 zvh, simply because of the ease of converting a efi 3i or 2i loom to run it.

have a search for it on here mate.
quite a bit of info
ofac is frequency based
ofab is voltage based
you can use the 3 bar cosworth type map sensors with ofab and hence potentially can be seen to have more tunjing scope.
ofac - iirc MSD in blackpool prefer the ofac system and can still map them for decent boost levels.
best speak to the people you intend to get the car set-up or mapped/chipped by

ofac is suppose 2 be better, as it was redeveloped 2 replace the ofab on the newer fiesta rs's.
but as said above, most run ofab as it can have a 3bar mapsensor where as ofac is 2.5bar

So looks like going ofab then? the only problem is ive been told in another post that a normally chipped ofab ecu wont allow you to run the 3 bar map sensor? i know that a the map sensor this needs doing :
At the MAP sensor multiplug...
1) Move the brown wire (gnd) to cossie MAP sensor pin no. 1 (marked on multiplug).
2) Move the brown/trace* wire (feeds back to ECU on pin no. 26) to cossie MAP sensor pin no. 2
3) Move the brown/yellow wire (feeds from pin no. 27 on the ECU) to cossie MAP sensor pin no. 3
4) On one of the Cossie MAP Sensors fixing holes there is a metal ring which goes into the sensor. This ring must be earthed, and when you mount the Cossie map sensor using the right brackets, it connects to earth. (You should only ever mount the Weber/Cosworth MAP sensors with the vacuum pipe pointing downwards).
been doing my home work.
im sure an unlimited boost ecu is quiet capable?
