Yes sensor 1 is pre cat, sensor 2 is post cat.

I had the same fault but for the pre cat sensor, made it drive so much smoother after I changed it!

The post cat sensor doesn't affect the running of the engine at all, it is just to tell the ecu that the cat is working properly.

hi mark just had a read at your post the faults you came up with were the same we had but like you i was thinking both sensors going at the same time was highly unlikely.i also had a tinker with the imrc box but ended up buying one for £180 but its only been on for a day so might try and fix the old one and send it back i take it yours is still working fine if anyone else has this prob here is the link to marks post thanks again mark

keep telling the mrs to pull away in first instead of pulling away in second at slow speeds dont fancy taking the box out must weigh a ton whats the deal with the flywheels is it one of those floating numbers.ours is just standard 25mm eibach springs and a panel filter original wheels done black but wouldnt mind a set of rs 7s for it its in the best colour too imperial blue

yeah i no what u mean mine died at 115k it still drove but was slipping

yeah the dreaded dual mass flywheel a clutch and master cylinder it needed

tbh im a fan of the standard wheels they dont like bad weather too much but i think there one of the best wheels for the car i do like the way st170s drive from factory there a good all round combination of comfort & handleing mines sat quite low so its pritty harsh it handles well but your deffo best avoiding bumps/potholes for sure lol
