they went in favor of the police and gave me 6 month ban and 500 quid fine

got pulled on motorway at 130 at night gave copper a sob story that i would lose my job and its late night no one on road etc etc.. and he wrote me down to 98mph so i wouldnt get banned so not all coppers are bad still got 3 points tho!

I nearly got caught by a camera van doing *cough and 55mph on the bike , but stopped and took the number plate off and stuck it in my jacket , turned and made a sharp exit home with my tail between my legs.

I'm not preaching as I've had my fair share - 42 day ban for 96 in 60, 12 month ban and retest for Dangerous Driving, had points from a Gatso, a marked car (Vascar), an unmarked car (twice), Truvelo, Camera Van, and hand held laser. Not had Specs yet though!

I'm a good boy now though, and only got 3 points which come off in November. Embarrassingly I got the last points while on the Focus ST launch

in 1998 i got pulled on the m27 early in the morning doing 137 mph racing my old bosses porsche in my old s2 , copper ended up just putting me and the boss down for doing in excess of 100mph , went to court pleaded guilty and did the sob story and got a 2 month ban with 380 quid fine !!!

I passed a traffic car a few years ago doing alot more than I should on a long straight back road , I was on my way home , they eventually caught up with me on a different road not far from my house , I denied all knowledge saying I had just come from home , The cop eventually admitted that I was going so fast he didnt get my reg number ,

Kept me there for about 2 hrs though arguing his point , seems funny now but the though of getting banned at the time wasnt

Had had a properly shit day and was driving south, been stuck in traffic for ages and finally saw the outside lane was clear, pulled into it and 'stretched my legs' - saw a black 3 series BMW creep up behind me, i figured he wanted to play so squeezed the pedal a bit more... about 20 seconds later his grille lit up with blue flashing lights

Unmarked car and they'd recorded my average speed at WELL over 100, we had the 'chat' and they explained about how over 100 was a ban and talked through everything that would happen about court appearances etc. I was thinking "Bollocks. I've fucked up here." at this point And then he said, "However, at speeds of up to 95mph I have the discretion to deal with this as a fixed penalty of Ł60 and 3 points if you'll accept that?".

Traffic cops are shit hot round here unfortunately and they dont take any prisioners. I got caught in July last year on the A75 just outside Castle Douglas there was no ifs buts or fluttering of my eyelashes, fine and points. Thankfully i was just off the limit for being reported to the procurator fiscal and learned my lesson, DONT GET CAUGHT
