Both cool cars I wouldnt like to choose.....even if i had the cash
SMG gearboxs can be troublesome, and expensive to fix ££££, SMG is a manual gearbox with a big saddle put over it to make it semi auto, you have a normal clutch attached to the engine but without a clutch pedal so alll the electronics engage the clutch for you, so it doesnt sound like an auto when you change gear, the cool part is the ferosity setting which changes the speed the box changes gear........get the RS4!.......or a MANUAL M3, thats my opinion anyway,

Redumbdancy
I think the only way you'll decide for yourself is to go and test drive them.
I don't think i'd be able to choose between them otherwise. Although that said, I remember seeing a road test on the rs4 and it did seem to understeer a fair bit. Can anyone confirm this? I'd imagine the M3 will handle better being rwd.
