I had one like that, sold a Punto on ebay as a classified ad. the guy came in the dark, saw the car, asked me to reverse it off the drive for him, said he didn't want to test drive it and just paid for it.

The tit then moaned and gave me bad feedback for the scuffs being worse than he was expecting. Thats his fault for not even looking around it. Some people are absolute jokers.

Nice one, when selling my Mum's Mk2 Escort had loads of dreamers on the phone and over eBay, but the first person to actually make effort to come and view bought it.

With a high end car like a vauxhall vectra, you tend to attract the superior class of buyer

Being honest mate, thats how it should be, its no hard is it.
See a car.

Call the seller.

Arrange viewing.

If you like then get yer cash out and purchase. If you dont you walk away.

Easy as 123.

However i know what your are saying this is now a rareity. lol

I've never had an issue selling a car, and I've sold enough.

As long as you're honest in your advert, helpful and courteous, and the car is well-presented and appropriately-priced, and you can spot a chancer a mile off, you won't have any issues.

Years ago I sold a RS turbo in one day! Put it in the autotrader which came out on a wednesday morning, got a phone call from a guy who wated to come see it that night but couldnt come till 10pm, told him it would be dark but if still wanted to come then ok. He turns up at 11pm with Ł2200 cash in his pocket and after me taking him on a 5 min test drive down the road, bought it as seen (or not seen in this case lol)

had some easy sales, and some hard ones.

Sold a fiesta rst, lad turns up for a butchers comes back with a mechanic mate, take then down the bypass and open the taps - SOLD

Had someone view my old S1, can't fault it, be decides to mess me around for a week claiming he is sorting the cash only to be actually going viewing other cars to see if he could get better - seemed a bit miffed when on the Friday night i called the second interested party who arrived at 11am the next morning and bought it without fuss - lived over 100 miles away and didn't hesitate to come the next morning!
