first thing you will need to get is a domain name and somewhere where u can host the files.

if ur on broadband, you will have some space somewhere anyway.

I have built one myself, very basic using microsoft front page, it is very easy to update once you have got it up and running it cost me nothing and my webspace is free with ntl, the new style front page is far better looking and I will change over to this as soon as I get the time,
have look it may give you some ideas,

Tony, have a search on google for "front page tips" there are a few sites which give step by step instructions on how to build themusing this format, the only thing I found hard and neaded help was the setup to upload it for the first time, the building of the site is fairly straightforward.
cheers,
steve

Tony,

There's a guy on here called DanS who did my brother's website. Not sure if he still does them, but he charged a nice fee and the website was/is spot on.

Take a look and see what you reckon:

If Dan's not doing them, NeilM may be able to help you out with a package....

James's site looks good, makes mine look so old
the new front page format is like james's so I think I might have to swap over sooner rather than later.

Hello mate, been fookin ages since i did anything!!!!

But would be up for giving it a go if u wanted, theres so many templates etc already set up out there it shouldnt be to difficult.

As said you would need to host it all and register a domain name, but if ur on BB then most providers give u enough webspace to be able 2 host a basic site.

Let me know mate
