Looking at a diesel mondeo to go to work and back the owner doesnt know if its the 115 or 130 i want the 130 model.

how can i find out???

 

From my understanding the 115 was the tddi model and the 130 was the tdci

they did a 115 and a 130 tdci

my old mans had a sticker on the timing chain cover and a sticker on the slam pannel saying 130ps

 

They are the same engine, just different turbos.

If you look at the actuator at the back of the engine, 130 has the actuator pointing down, the 115 has the actuator on its side, i think thats the right way round!

 

could possbly say on the logbook also. My 406 hdi says its the 110 bhp model on the log book and near the drivers door post

 

It'll say on the log book and there should be a sticker under the bonnet

 

115 has a waste gated turbo

130 has vnt

 

The co output on the log should tell you depends on the year as well

 

ask the guy what it gets to gallon? that ought to give u a hint. but if the guy dosent know if its a 115 or a 130 is he likely to have maintaind it properly?

Some 115s have VNT turbos. They also have different fuel pump, rail, and injectors.

If you can't get to the car to check the actuator, get the guy to send you the VIN and put it in here. It'll even tell you what time of day the car was made!
