Can anyone tell me what it means by a Sky+HD (grade A) box?

Grade A is a refurbished box as far as I know. Don't let that put you off though Caz. They've been tested 100+ hours compared to some untested new ones

 

cool, i take it while im still on my 12 month contract that they still repair it if there is a problem!? altho im getting it for free anyway lol

lol, grade a is a refirb, it would put me off and i used to be the engineer fitting them

i used new when possible as any 30 day callbacks were because or the box being shit, eithers whistling HDD's slow ness etc etc

if you want 1 pm me i have a couple im clearing out now i have HD thruout, could even sort you a pace box, the best of them all (amstrad being the shittest)

 

Caz, if this is the box that Sky are installing from your post about threatening to cancel then it should be a new box, not a refurbished box. Who told you it was an A grade?

You are covered under warranty for your first 12 months and +3 months for any service calls. If the box you are buying is new then you are tied into another 12 month contract with warranty.

 

Yes it is the box i was talkin about! The letter i received today states that it is a grade... i didn't know what this meant when he said it on the phone tbh, didn't think much on it til it states on the letter that its A grade..

i've been with sky for about 4 years, and the box i have now is Pace, and has been the same box for those 4 years, never had a problem with it! lets just hope the one they install wont cause me any problems eh!

as the box is a freebee sweetner (as in PM) you will get a grade A, ideally a pvr3! some PVR2's still kick around and you dont want 1 of them

you say it to skyman and he will be ok, you say you shoudl have a hd box so fingers x's it'll be ok

i was always sposed to give prv2's but pvr3's were available to nice people, wankers got the shit 1's

All HD boxes are free now (when taking out the HD pack)

If you have ordered an A grade, you will only receive a 3 month warranty. I really don't understand why the agent you spoke with would put it through as this as the new boxes are free also. Did you sign up to the HD pack?

he didn't tell me it would only have 3 month warranty on it, think i need to be ringing them up!! no i didn't get the hd pack cos i dont have a hd tv! lol
