Default Cutting Keys and transponder chips

bought my focus last weekend but its only got 1 key.

car is garaged so hopefully no previous owners will come looking for it.

how much should i pay to get a new 3 button key and the transponder programmed.

local guy told me between £80 - £100

is this about right?

Shop around varies hugely, similar to this I paid around £50 -£60 to have a black key supplied and a red master supplied and programmed and the old keys deleted, but remember the prices for the same work at different ford dealers varied between this and around £180.

No, it was just the regular price charged at a local ford dealer, Abbeygate in Wymondham, Norfolk, probably about 5 years ago now mind!!

what model focus?
i have a late door and ignition lock (from a 57 plate ST the only 2 locks you have these days) and blade you could swap over to new locks to save you some hassle

its too far for me to come for it
