One of my friends has been in the Paras for the last few years, can ask him for some tips if you like? .....although I'm sure its just a case of focusing on the areas that you weren't up to standard and seriously concentrating your training around those and building up the relevant parts of your body to reach the required level.
Cheers,

For pushups, try doing this challenge (has a training program on there you can follow). http://www.hundredpushups.com/
100 Pushups will be plenty to get you ready for basic training I'd have thought, however be very careful with your form. They will hammer you for poor form, so make sure you do them right from the start

Do close to your maximum and then drop one each time you do it after a minute of rest. This way you are doing more but doing less each time. Like a reverse pyramid with the most first. That way your mind has the psychological thing that you are getting closer to the finish as the reps are getting lower.
I do this when I go to the gym. Also make sure you are properly warmed up. Your body will perform better when you are warm.

Jeez man if your that unfit should you really be going into the paras?
No real techniques just practice. Try some bench press or dumbell press' to build up your chest for press ups.. how many of them do you need to do? For the pull ups etc try some pull downs to build your lats.

I'm in the army mate, not the paras though, this is just a suggestion that works for me, just break it down into sets with reps of 20-30 and then max out, keep trying to beat it every day/week, you get 2 min, practise pushing out as many as you can without stopping, you'll find you'll piss it easy. Same with the pull ups just keep at it and try and beat your last amount, come the test you'll be able to do 9 easy. This works for me, i'll do 70 press ups for a pft well before the times up, we only have to do 45, I wont knacker myself for the run. I'm not tested on pull ups but find by crossing you legs and keeping them as still as possible so you don't rock makes it easier. Hope this helps and good luck with it.

why cant you do 9, are they different to regualar pull ups or something, like 1 handed or something?
id do the ones your struggeling with so do pull ups and push ups instead of other training methods to build up the muscles used in that action.
maybe go to a gym or get somebody to help you so your form is right, the difference between proper pull ups and cheating pullups is huge, same with push ups.
i found hands close together and legs straight helped me to do more, found bent legged harder
